Marching Kingsmen Rehearsal Schedule for 2009
The following lists all rehearsals from to the end of competition season.
Rehearsal Schedule - (none of these dates conflicts with summer school).
May
- 27th, 28th & 29th Color Guard & Percussion, 2:00-9:00pm
- 27th & 28th Brass & Woodwinds, 2:00-5:00pm
The next seven weeks have no band activities scheduled to allow all a well-deserved vacation.
July
- 20th -23rd Brass & Woodwind new members and leaders, 2:00-5:00pm
- All Brass & Woodwinds, 6:00pm-9:00pm
- All Percussion & Color Guard, 2:00-9:00pm
- 24th (Friday) – Full Ensemble (all band members), 2:00pm-6:00pm
- 27th –30th Full Ensemble, 2:00-9:00pm
- 31st (Friday) – Full Ensemble, 8:00am – 5:00pm
August
- Saturday, August 1st, BAND CAR WASH, 9:00am-1:00pm
- 3rd –7th Full Ensemble, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 10th –13th Full Ensemble, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 14th Full Ensemble, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Band Picnic/Parent show, 6:30pm
- Monday, August 17th, Marching Band Pictures, 3:00-6:00pm
August 19th to November 6th: Regular rehearsals are as follows:
- Tuesday: Full Ensemble, 3:50-6:00pm
- Wednesday: Full Ensemble, 3:50-6:00pm
- Thursday: Full Ensemble, 6:15-9:00pm
- Friday: if no game, Full Ensemble, 3:55-6:00pm
These two rehearsals are the only extra rehearsals in addition to the above schedule:
- Saturday, August 22nd, Full Ensemble, 9:00am – 1:00pm
- Friday, October 30th, Full Ensemble, 12:00noon – 4:00pm

- October 3rd ISSMA District at Penn
- October 10th Homestead & Plymouth Invitationals
- October 17th ISSMA Regional at Chesterton
- October 24th ISSMA Semi-State at Ben Davis
- October 31st ISSMA State Finals in Lucas Oil Stadium
- November 7th BOA Regional in Lucas Oil Stadium
Marching Band concludes with a banquet following the final competition of the season.
Football play-off games
The Marching Band will perform at Home Football Playoff games. Students with family plans will be excused with advance notification (no later than Tuesday of game week to the Director of Bands)
