The Patron Program

Dear Parents and Friends of the Kingsmen Band Programs:
The Kingsmen Bands are hard at work in preparation for their upcoming concerts, competitions and
events. Now that things are underway, it’s time to begin our annual Patronage appeal.
The Patronage Program offered by the Penn BBC (Band Booster Club) is a wonderful way to
financially support the band programs and also receive priority seating for a specified number of
concerts throughout the 2009-2010 school year.

BBC is a volunteer organization that provides money for items such as: concert attire, uniforms,
garment bags and racks, upgrades and/or replacement of equipment, financial assistance for All-
State band students selected to attend the All-State performance, financial assistance for drum major
camp candidates, scholarships for up to two graduating senior band members, etc…

Please consider becoming a BBC patron this year. Our ability to help the band program at Penn
depends heavily on the success of the Patronage appeal. If you have been a Patron in the past, we
sincerely thank you and hope for your continued support. If you are new to Penn, welcome! We invite
you to become involved, and we look forward to seeing you at the concerts this year. We also invite
you to attend the BBC meetings, generally held the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Band
Room. Our students’ and your children’s musical experience at Penn will be greatly enriched by your
financial and volunteer efforts for the Penn Band Booster Club!

Becoming a patron is easy. Just fill out and mail in the forms (be sure to include a self-addressed
stamped envelope). You will receive your tickets in time for the first concert and your name and
patronage level will appear on the printed program handed out at each concert.

We also offer one concert that is not included in the patronage campaign: Jazz a la Mode held on
Friday, February 12th at 7:30pm in the cafeteria. This is a delightful evening of jazz music and
delicious desserts featuring all of the Penn Jazz bands, along with other area guest jazz bands. Please
mark your calendar for this thoroughly enjoyable evening!

There is no better way to have a positive impact on the lives of children than with your support in
attendance, volunteer time, and financial donations.
