Weather Policy

In case of bad weather for a football game or contest, ALWAYS arrive at the announced time. Bring your band t-shirt! We will then make decisions as needed:

• Light Rain: The band will go to performance without plumes. We will not stay in the stands. We will perform and then move to an area where we can stay dry
• Light to Moderate Rain: The band will go to performance in street clothes (band t-shirt and jeans). Whether we stay in the stands depends on specific conditions. If this type of weather is forecast, bring an appropriate jacket and hat
• Heavy Rain: A small, select group will perform pregame music on the track wearing rain ponchos that we will provide. No band in the stands.If the heavy rain continues, we will dismiss the band. In this event, you need to know what your parents want you to do! We do not want students roaming the building. Students waiting for parents will wait in the CPA lobby. Students WILL NOT be allowed to go to the stadium to find parents -- parents should come to the CPA lobby.
• Dangerous Conditions: Dangerous conditions might include thunderstorm or tornado. No performers outside. Students will be dismissed when it is safe to do so. Again, you need to know your parent's wishes...Students WILL NOT be allowed to go to the stadium to find parents -- parents should come to the CPA lobby.
