Contest Information and Schedule - ISSMA State Finals

State Finals tickets will be on sale after each rehearsal this week.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for all children

 


Tuesday & Wednesday – regular practice times. Tickets on sale

 

Thursday, October 29 Rehearsal 6:15-9:00pm; Tickets on sale

Friday, October 30 Rehearsal Noon-4:45pm Tickets on sale

Dinner at 5:00pm

Sectional Football game (report on baseball at 6:00)

 

Saturday, October 31st - ISSMA State Finals at the Lucas Oil Stadium

9:00am Doors open

9:45am Rehearsal begins

11:45am Run show

12:00noon Load trucks outside Door D; eat a (provided) snack (change into show t-shirt)

12:45pm Load buses (wear your black shoes/socks or show them to your bus chaperone)

1:00pm Buses & trucks depart

3:45pm Arrive @ fast food in Carmel, bring money for one or two meals

4:50pm Leave Carmel

5:40pm Arrive at 'Area 1' on South Street near Lucas Oil Stadium (LOS);

  • Unload uniform racks

  • Dress into full uniform/place your other clothes on hanger in uniform cabinet.

  • Unpack brass & WW (except bari-saxes & tubas…switch to another trailer)

  • Back on buses with instruments, trailers packed

6:40pm Buses/trucks move to LOS parking lot

6:44pm Pit/guard/stage/tubas/bari-saxes unloaded (all trailers locked before we transit)

Five buses depart for home after unloading

7:14pm Band transits to Stadium

7:39-8:03pm Physical warm-up

8:08-8:32pm Music warm-up

8:45pm Performance

8:58pm Perc, guard equip, tubas, bari saxes, props loaded on semi truck & small trailer

9:50pm Awards (all in uniform)

10:30pm Change, load equipment on 5th wheel trailer, dismissed to parents!

11:30pm One bus & trailers depart for home

3:30pm Bus arrives at Door C; trailers go directly to Transportation Center (unload Mon).

 

PRESALE TICKETS: We have advance sale tickets to help parents avoid long lines at LOS (Lucas Oil Stadium). Adult $20.00; Student $18.00. Props crew, chaperones, uniform workers, and bus/truck drivers get complimentary tickets

 

AFTER THE SHOW, LEAVING WITH YOUR PARENTS: On Thursday evening we will give you detailed maps showing where and when parents should meet you. Your parents should find your head bus chaperone and sign you out before 11:15pm.

 

AFTER THE SHOW, LEAVING WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S BAND PARENTS: You must bring in a note BY FRIDAY from your parents that includes the name(s) of the band parents to whom you are being released. One of your parents must also call the band office phone (259-7961 extension 2685) to verify their approval for you to be dismissed to another band member’s parents.

 

RETURING ON THE BUS: The return time of 3:30am is our best guess. The driver may need extra stops to avoid getting tired. We will try to provide the cell phone number of a chaperone on the bus so parents can check progress. We also encourage all returning to use cell phones to call your ride in advance of the bus arriving at Penn so that chaperones do not need to wait in the parking lot for your ride to arrive. Due to the late arrive time, there will be no possible way to get access into Penn High School.
